Do you make deals with God?

Have you ever found yourself making deals with God?
Have you ever found yourself in a frightening or desperate situation in your life? 
Have you ever said things like, "God, If you help me through this situation I am in right now, I will do whatever you want?" Did He give you the results you were seeking?
 Maybe He did and maybe He didn't.
 Did you follow up on your end of the deal?
 Were you only interested in getting assistance with your immediate problem at the time?
 Many times people are not really interested in loving Him unless He does something for them, right then. Could you ignore your spouse, child, partner or associate for years and then in your time of need come pleading for assistance?
 Do you think they would care what you wanted after you had rejected and neglected them for years?
 God takes our "deal's", very seriously. In other words, if you tell God you are going to do something you need to hold up your end of the bargain.
What would happen if you do not hold up to your end of a bargain or deal with people? They probably would not assist you in your time of need again. For example, if you loan money from a bank and you pay it back on time; they will most likely assist you again if you need more money. However, if you do not pay them back, they will refuse to help you when you need it the next time. The bank or loan institution will then report you to a credit reporting agency which will document your poor budgeting methods. 

Bad Credit Report from God?

A bad credit report will ruin your credit for at least seven years unless you take steps to repair it. The banker does not love you and he is not going to give you another chance to loan more money when you have not paid back what you owe already. In fact, the banker would probably ignore your calls requesting more assistance or try to get you to pay back the money first, with interest and late penalties of course.When you make a deal with God and He answers your prayer and you fall short on your end and do not follow or obey Him your credibility is damaged. Many times you will or have found out that God will help us even when we have fallen short on our end. Sometimes, He even helps us when we did not even try to keep our end of the bargain! This is because, He loves us! It is not fair to God for us to treat Him with such blatant disrespect. If we do it to Him enough times, He may turn a "deaf ear" to our requests. We want immediate results from God and He expects immediate results from us but many times He is disappointed or angered at our behavior but He does not give up on us. He keeps knocking. 
God has a deal for you! By accepting His son Jesus Christ into your heart, believing that He is the son of God, confessing it before men, being saved, baptized and telling others about Jesus Christ, you are making a "deal" for eternal life. Someone who will walk with you through this earthly life, help you, love you and give you gifts with the most important one being eternal life.
